Adrian and I were listening to Pandora one night and a song came on which we had never heard "Lay Me Down" by Happy Rhodes from the album Warpaint.
I did a bit of research and according to Wikipedia she has a four octave range, hardly ever tours or is featured on radio (except locally in NY/PA where she is based), and one of her songs When the Rain Came Down was once mistakenly uploaded to Napster as a duet between Annie Lennox and Kate Bush.
As it turns out, Last.fm has many of her tracks available for free (and legal) download. I got everything available for the albums Warpaint and Ecto. My favorite songs at first from Warpaint (I've not gotten around to listening to Ecto much yet) are: Lay Me Down, Murder, Phobos, and Wrong Century. Adrian really liked Lay Me Down, Murder and especially Words Weren't Made for Cowards. Since he liked that one so much I started listening to it more, and now my favorites are Lay Me Down, Murder, Words Weren't Made for Cowards, To Live in Your World, and In Hiding.
Anyway, Happy Rodes: <3 <3 <3
