Daylily
So, my daylilies finally started blooming this month. The name comes from the fact that each flower lasts only one day. Fortunately, there are several flowers per stalk (and on mature plants, several stalks) to keep the flowers coming for quite a while! In this case I was lucky enough to have two simultaneous blooms from one stalk:

They are so gorgeous!!! I wish it didn't get so blasted hot here in the middle of summer, so we could have some flowers. I also wish I had more of a green thumb.
